RIC Drilling Attachment
Up until now the RIC Rig has focused on compacting sand and gravels which limits the work that can be achieved with the base unit. In this day and age, where versatility is key, BSP can now offer a range of ground improvement attachments that will increase the utilisation of the base unit.
By using the now standard BSP boom with quick hitch we can offer a purpose built mast, up to 14 metres long and a control system to drive an auger drill, vibro lance or one of BSP’s own hydraulic drop hammers.
An RIC 9000 fitted to a 50 ton excavator has at least 250 Kw available to run an auxiliary tool. This is more than enough to power a 650mm diameter Auger or a 150 Kw vibroflot.
Vibro compaction or replacement piles can be made using standard tools guided by the BSP mast arrangement and Pull-up or Pull-down winches.
Bored or displaced holes can be filled with stone and treated with an RIC to produce a more effective load bearing foundation.
