Four models make up the BSP range of CGL hydraulic hammers, the largest models in the Ipswich company’s range of piling hammers. The four models comprise the CGL370, CGL440, CGL520 and the CGL590. Hammer dropweights are 25t, 30t, 35t and 40t respectively.

The four pile driving hammers can be used crane suspended or configured with backguides for leader use. All the CGL piling hammers are designed for driving a variety of bearing piles including steel tube, combi piles, H sections, Raked or Batter piles and reinforced/pre-stressed concrete piles. Piles up to 2m in diameter can be driven as standard, but with special attachments, larger diameters can be easily accommodated.

Key features of the CGL hammers are cylinder and dropweight connection parts are easily accessible to carry out maintenance requirements and their square section construction gives the hammers a shorter overall height while digital readout of hammer performance is available in a choice of units, stroke or energy. Like the rest of the BSP piling hammer line-up the CGL models are economical to operate due to a low hydraulic power requirement. The Hydraulic cylinder is BSP’s own designed and developed system. In addition, the hammers are available with BSP Hydropacks which conform to the latest emissions legislation.
